Who can attend the conference?


Environmental professionals, students and alumni (of Fleming College), researchers, businesses, contestants of the pitch and photo contest, and any member of the public who is interested in learning about the environment.




What time should I arrive?


The registration opens at 8:30AM, so we recommend you arrive at 8:30 or slightly after to give yourself enough time to get comfortable for the day.




What other events and activities besides the workshops are at the conference?


Other than the workshops, the conference also consists of exhibits, silent auction, photo contest, pitch competition, vendors selling environmentally sourced products and reception and recognition for Fleming College Alumni.




Is it possible to sign up for a single workshop?


Yes, tickets are $15 for all participants and you may choose which events you wish to participate in.




Can I register onsite on the conference day?


Yes, you can register in the main foyer of the college on the day of the conference. Tickets are $15 for the whole day. Please note we are only accepting cash on the day of the conference.




Do I have to register if I am a current student/staff member from the Fleming College?


Yes, if you wish to attend the conference you can register on Eventbrite or at the door on the day of the conference.




If I am a vendor/exhibitor at the conference, do I need to register?


No, registration fees are waived for vendors and exhibitors.




Will I be able to switch workshop sessions after I signed up?


No. Unfortunately there will be limited space in some of our workshops, so no changes can be made after registration and workshop signup closes.




Is there a dress code?


No, but our main event the Forest in a Day workshop will include an outdoor portion on the college’s green roof as well a portion where participants will learn how to build planter boxes, so be sure to dress for the weather and wear closed toed shoes.




What should I bring to the conference?


  • A notebook and pens to take notes
  • A reusable water bottle or other small personal items you may want to have with you
  • A convenient, compact bag/backpack to carry your personal and conference items
  • Closed toed shoes are required to participate in our featured Forest in a Day workshop
  • Please note that the Fleming College and conference organizer are not responsible for lost or stolen items, so we recommend not leaving valuables unattended at the conference
  • Bring your own MUG for refreshments!




Will food and beverages be provided at the conference?


Coffee, tea and baked goods will be available from 8:30AM-9AM and 2:30PM-3PM. The campus cafeteria is open for lunch from 11:30AM-1:30PM. The Auks Lodge Bar will be open from 11:00AM to 4:30pm. Be sure to bring your reusable water bottle, the college has multiple, assessable water filling stations.




What networking opportunities are available at the conference?


There are coffee breaks (8:30AM-9AM and 2:30PM-3PM) and lunch break (12PM-1PM) when the attendees can mingle and connect with people in the environmental field.




What services are available for special needs and requests?


Fleming College is fully accessible with ramps and elevators connecting the different levels of the campus. Unfortunately, the Forest in a Day workshop will be held on the College’s green roof and will be inaccessible to wheelchairs.

What is the cancellation policy for the conference?


The conference does not offer refunds for tickets.




Can I transfer my registration to another person?


Yes, if you can no longer attend but would like to transfer you registration to someone else, you can contact our registration team by email at registration@SSFCollege.onmicrosoft.com.

Please note that we will be unable to transfer your registration after Wednesday, March 20th.
